Shirt Stripes Quilt
I've been knitting away on socks, and a second MDK linen handtowel, and thinking about what the next big thing is. I don't know yet. But I hope it shows up soon!

Meanwhile, I scored this great vintage quilt top at my guild's recent flea market. I don't usually buy quilts or tops, but this one called out to me. (Plus, it was $8 dollars. EIGHT dollars! Unlike the next quilt that called out to me from a trendy Noho antiques shop-- that one was $1450. I took its picture through the theft prevention bars.)

I've already got the stripey quilt backed, basted, and half-quilted and I can't wait to put on the stripey bias binding. It's summery and cozy and fresh, and the best part is someone else made it so I am very forgiving of any imperfections. Now I'm adding my own imperfections with free-motion quilting, but how else to improve if not to try?
