Turkey Pro 2004
The 19th Annual Turkey Pro was held this weekend. My dad started it in 1985 as an end-of-the-season rally for his vintage motorcycle buddies. Now, both the motorcycles AND the buddies are vintage, and the rally has grown from 40 friends to 300 enthusiasts and back down again. John wrote up his impressions after his first Turkey Pro in 2001, and again in 2003. This year, it was my pleasure to photograph Lydia's first Turkey Pro experience.

Do you think we've got trouble on our hands? Look at that mischievious little face and the strong grip on the throttle. No wonder I have no time for blogging right now! In John's 2004 photo gallery, I'm guessing there will be more Lydia photos than motorcycle photos. Sorry fellas! I'm going to look for the photo of myself on Dad's bike when I was Lydia's age.

The Day After...
Despite herculean efforts... (knocking on over 10,000 doors) my mom lost to the incumbent. I'm very proud she got 45% of the vote, which is the highest any challenger has received, but I'm still surprised and saddened that she didn't win. I want to tie big, lush, black ribbons on each of the columns on my porch. Maybe I will.

I stole another photo from Mom's campaign blog to show you a family portrait at the polls.

John had to vote earlier in the day in order to catch his train, and my brother lives in New York, so neither are included here. My grandmother told me I'm dressed like Ellen. She's right! I like Ellen's style, but I'm disappointed to find out I am a mindless fashion sheep. I thought my cute argyle and striped shirt were an original Kate match.

Well, the election's over. Time to move forward in other areas, although I certainly will be working torwards change in 2006. Mom's planning to run again, and I'm not planning to have a newborn at that time!

Happy Election Day!
Get out and vote! Lydia met PA governor Ed Rendell on Saturday, and accompanied me and my parents to the polls this morning. What can I say? It's in her blood.
