Robin's Nest
We've got a nest in the laurel bush at the edge of our porch! There are 3 eggs, and one baby bird so far. Lydia is already keeping a journal about the nest at Leslie's house, so we've added the information about our nest too. Both nests are in perfect viewing spots-- Leslie's is in a hanging basket of flowers on the porch, and ours is at Lydia's eye level on our porch. Silly robins! Did you know that the robin parents take turns watching the nest? The mother sits on the nest overnight, and in the morning, the father flies by to relieve her. Last night when we were sitting on the porch, a robin buzzed the shrub and another robin flew out of the foliage. I immediately looked for a nest, and there it was!
